Origins:
Q is an unknown online poster that began producing information on various message boards. The messages were cryptic, and were referred to as “Q drops”.
On many of the message boards where Q was posting, anonymous individuals were responding to Q. These individuals became known as Anons.
Over time, there have been several references to these individuals as “Q Anons” or “Qanon”, which represents a colloquial description.
Concept:
The cryptic messages from Q presented a grim view of the world. The content of the messages included important people in politics, religion, business and society. Interpretations of this information vary widely.
